Yikes ....

Well I know I haven't been around much for the longest time.

I wish there was some profound reason to it all ... like I've been in a cave living as a hermit seeking enlightenment, but truth be told I've just been really busy.

I do need to catch up with my message center here. It really needs to just be nuked and rebuild itself from the ashes but then I'd miss out on a shitload of everyone's art so I'll go through things slowly.

I've started on some new work, but it's been slow going. I have five huge drawings to do that are going to be my stepping stone to use my art and the 20 years experience that I have in Monumental design to start my own business of sorts. I have 4 hours put into the first one already and it's barely made a nick in it. I'll work on it some more tonight.

I've also been invited to participate again in My country's Habitat Stamp program. $5,000.00 Grand Prize .. can't turn that down. I've already cut down an 18" high canvas's stretchers to their required 16" height and have been working on my concept for the painting. I should be able to find time to pencil it onto the canvas this week.

Other than that I've been keeping busy with yard work and normal life. I made 4 birdhouses yesterday for my kids to sell in an attempt to raise money. Darren ( my son ) wants to buy a minibike, and dahlia ( my daughter ) wants a new puppy. Our old dog is 14 and hobbles arround but is too old and lame to go for a long walk of any kind. His idea of a good day is laying out in the sun on the back deck.

Oh and I found an awesome reference for a painting that's going to be somewhat of a sequel to "The Sentinal" Another eagle in a similar pose ... I'm hoping to paint it this time rather than draw it. It's on my to do list.

Hope everyone's doing well. I'll try to get some new art up soon. Maybe a few ACEOs in between working on my larger stuff.
