This will be the last thing that you'll ever see, if ever you get this close to an old male Cape Buffalo. They are rated as one of the most dangerous of big game animals in all of Africa. They look a bit like the water buffalo of east asia, but those beasts are comepletely domesticated and docile. Cape buffalo are huge Behemoths that basically have two enemies, Man and lions and even the lions have a hard time. They are very intolerance of disturbance and would rather pound you into the dust than look at you. It measures 20"(50cm)x 16"(40cm)and is done completely in 6b grade pencil. Enjoy. I forgot to mention this is also a tribute to a Great wildlife artist named Daniel Smith. He did a simular image but he chose to paint it in Acrylics. The Ox Pecker (bird) is in a different position and his buffalo is a bit larger than the one I did. The layout's a bit different as well, but I loved the concept so much that I couldn't but help to want to create something simular.

I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately. Extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it.
Yeah this one took a few hours .. haha Glad you like it Wendy.
